"Human Library" – it is a format dedicated to the diversity of our society and the fact that the most diverse people have equal rights to existence, understanding and respect.
"Human Library" are needed to give people the opportunity to talk in an informal setting with representatives of those groups towards which there are prejudices in society; so that they can see each other behind their differences. This helps to get rid of stereotypes, which often lead to discrimination of individuals or entire groups, and increase the level of mutual understanding in society.
What is a "Human library"
HOW IS THE PROCESS ORGANIZED?
Representatives of a certain group are invited to the session and they consistently share their stories. Each speaker can be asked questions. "Readers" are participants in the session, "Human Library" is a person, and "reading" is a conversation.
